Reduce - Reuse - Recycle: How Green is Your Bag?
The Meridian PTO is selling Fabulous and Fashion
Forward all-purpose bags made of eco-friendly jute. We have teamed
up with a company called Haute Market Bags in a fundraiser that both
benefits Meridian and our earth. It's all about "Loving Where You
Live." Check our their information at

have a classic brown paper bag design that stands up and stays open
with the capacity and strength to hold 3-5 times more than a plastic
bag. Designs have cloth-covered handles and a zippered

PTO Funding
Requests
During the October
PTO meeting, a funding request form and process was presented.
Parents, staff or teachers wishing to request funding from the PTO
must submit a completed funding request form. All approved requests
(note the principal signature needed) will be summarized and presented
during the November PTO meeting for consideration. Parents will also
receive a copy of the Agenda and a summary of all funding requests
prior to the November meeting. Completed, signed Funding Requests are
due to the PTO mailbox no later than Thursday, October 30th.
The next PTO meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 20th at 6:30
pm.

Holiday
Boutique and Bake Sale
Saturday, November 22 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
In the Meridian Elementary cafeteria
Meridian Elementary is having its 2nd annual Holiday Boutique and Bake
Sale on Sat. Nov 22nd. Proceeds from the bake sale and vendor fees
will be donated to the PTO. There will be over 25 vendors, including
handmade gift items such as jewelry, clothing, gifts for dogs,
pottery, home decor, holiday items, and gifts for kids. Several
businesses will also be present including Pampered Chef, Mary Kay,
Tastefully Simple, MIYO books, The Sassy Factory, Marbella's Buckles
and More, Silpada, Rancho Retro Designs, Lemongrass Spa, Beauticontrol
and more!!!
Free admission! Free kid's craft corner for make-and-take gifts!

Fall Fundraiser Results
The Cookie Dough Fundraiser was a HUGE success! Thanks to our
amazing Meridian families, we sold 4,774 boxes of cookie dough which
means a profit of $32,230 for Meridian!
We would also like
to thank everyone who contributed to the check writing campaign, which
raised $1,295 for Meridian. |

Directories
The Meridian Student
Directories were sent home with students who pre-ordered them on
Friday, October 17th. A
limited number of Directories are available to purchase for $5.
You can pick one up at the Meridian office or at a PTO meeting.

Scrip
Scrip orders
are due every Tuesday. They will be filled and sent home in your
child's folder the following Monday. You can download an
order form
here, or you can place orders online by
clicking
here and sending your check to
school in your child's folder the following Tuesday.
